Total Taxes Paid to Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission in 2011 State of Iowa – $10,431,423.90 The gaming industry is the sole contributor to the Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund, the Vision Iowa Fund, the Environment First Fund and the School Infrastructure Fund. More than $1,000,000,000 has been channeled into the Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund through casino gaming taxes. Riverboat Development Authority – $1,985,529.25 RDA is a non-profit corporation that distributes gaming revenues received from Rhythm City Casino. Funds are distributed to educational institutions, government and qualified non-profit organizations through a grant process. Scott County – $629,558.13 Scott County allocates all of the money they receive from Rhythm City Casino to capital improvement (one time projects). Currently they are working on a ten-year project to remodel the Court House and Bicentennial Building.
City of Davenport – $1,041,192.28 The City of Davenport receives over one million dollars per year from the Rhythm City Casino. Numerous city projects and purchases are completed from Rhythm City tax dollars. Here are just a few photos of us showing our support and contributions to our community!
